Danish Design! Why not?

We have talked about Danish Designer Arne Jacobsen before on this blog with his magnificent Swan Chair. Let’s talk about another one of Denmark’s masters, Verner Panton.

Verner Panton attended school at The Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen. He studied Architecture but practiced many disciplines of design. His designs were very advanced and he made use of “futuristic” materials including plastics. In 1960 Panton created the ‘S’ chair. It was the first single-form injection-moulded chair. This chair is very popular still today.

Here is some more Verner Panton Design.
